Singapore Trip, again

This is the 100th post!

Hmm.... what should I write? Maybe some updates from last week's visit to Singapore?

I know, is Singapore again but this time is a little different, I celebrated my belated birthday and attended Meiwan's convocation ceremony.

At first we thought of going to Iguana in Clarke Quay because it was famous with its Margarita, my favourite cocktail but it has very limited selection on meals. We ended up in Pump Room after we walked around.

HuYu bought me a cake, I don't know how much it costs exactly, but I know is about S$100 or more, which means this is the most expensive cake I ever had for birthday. The cake is worth the money I guess cause it wasn't any ordinary cakes with sponge cake and topping or icing on top of it but instead it was filled with chocolate chunks, nuts, rum raisins and some other things that I don't know what it is, and most importantly, it was superb delicious.

My Best-est Friends

Thanks HuYu for the cake and Min Liang for the flowers

It's My Day!

Thanks everyone =)

We knew that there will be live band performing at 10 something but what we didn't know is that Pump Room is like a club in the mid night and so happening, suddenly so many people coming in and looking at us, hoping we will leave so that they can have our table. Stayed for a few songs and then we left. Wanted to go to MOS but our friends, the guys wearing shorts, and they didn't want to go so we decided to call it a night and walk to the MRT station to catch the last train home. Before we left, we walked passed MOS and some other clubs. There is a beach party theme in The Arena with free flow of Long Island, my gosh! Cynthia and I were like, can we go in? I wonder when will KL clubs have this kind of offer too, pay cover charge of 25 or more and get free flow?

The next day, we headed down to Orchard Road. There is nothing we can do except shopping, shopping and shopping in Orchard. We spent most of our time in Charles & Keith for shoes. It was the last day of GSS, all the malls flooded with people and it was so hard to squeeze in to the crowd to choose or even touch the clothes. I hate shopping during the weekends. And even though I get a place to stand, there is no size for me, all the left over were size M, the smallest, it will be too loose for me.

Charles & Keith

Shopping Bag Carrier, guess who?

Didn't get to go MOS, but we went to MOS Burger instead. Me holding Terriyaki Burger and Unagi Rice Burger.

Never knew convocation ceremony would be so boring. I was so sleepy in the auditorium and I am not the only one, Sebastian felt asleep in the auditorium and the worse thing is, he snored!

Happy Valentine's Day, Hunnie!

Whoopssie... sorry mistake, is Congratulations, Hunnie!

Singapore Trip

I am very mad at myself for being so lazy, for not preparing tutorial answers, for not reading cases, for so many things that I didn't do when I suppose to do it.

Currently reading Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella, one of my favourite authors. Very funny and interesting book, you should get one. I love lazy around on my bed reading book, especially after I woke up and before I go to sleep.

And I am lazy to blog now, so many things happened and so many outtings but I couldn't write them all down one by one.

Just some short summary of my Singapore trip.

Singapore Trip: 18 - 21 December 2007

Sentosa Island

Review: Very disappointing (MeiWan will never gonna stop teasing me about the "scenic view thingy"), the "beach" is so stuffy, no waves and no breeze.

On the Tram

The Billboard does the saying...

St James Power Station
Review: Awesome place, the live band is cool and the lead singer is a very funny gay but the DJ at Power House isn't good enough. The crowd is just so-so. The best thing is, it gives ladies 5 complimentary drinks and the club is smoke-free so when you get out from the club, you won't smell like shit.

Okay, I admit I am drunk

Trio

Brewerkz, Clarke Quay
Review: Beer lovers' paradise, fab restaurant with its own brew beers up to 12 different tastes. Food is delicious, just that I have got some issues with the mashed potato.

Busy Choosing

Cheers

Food!!!

Can we start eating?

Clarke Quay

Besties

Orchard Road
Review: Wasn't as beautiful as it used to be, in fact our Sunway Pyramid and Mid Valley can beat them flat now. Shopping at Orchard is always great but I didn't enjoy much because of my stupid eye, it almost kill me.

Vil'age

Review: Branch of Marche, serves yummy-licious food especially the pancake with Belgian Chocolate ice cream *lips smacking*

Mooies - The icons of Vil'age

Stop-by at Malacca for dinner before going back to KL, my favourite food in Malacca - Satay Celup, it's actually same as the ordinary steamboat, just that the sauce is different.

Oops... this is after we finished eaten

Don't look at my eye!

Up next... Farewell for Tee, Christmas at Cynthia's place, Christmas at Mid Valley and etc

Greeting From Singapore

I have had reached Singapore sound and safe, it only took us 3 and half hours drive from my house, earlier than we estimated. We could reach here earlier if I didn't forget to bring my passport and luckily I realized it when we were at Mines, phewwww. As a forgetful person, I forgot to bring a lot of things, I forgot about the Ezlink Card, vitamins, hair moisture spray and so many things except my clothes.

I am now in NTU Hostel waiting Cynthia to serve me drinks. I am so full with sushi and rice. We had our dinner at Ichiban Sushi at Jurong Point, the name of the restaurant prove its right, their sushi are very delicious and special. They have lobster cheese sushi and some other sushi that I don't know the name cause I was too hungry and I ate all the sushi that MeiWan and Cynthia fed me. The softshell crab handroll is superb delicious, very cripsy, highly recomended by me.

While waiting for her, I am gonna upload some photos of last week, during our karaoke session in Neway and Pavilion.

I am suffering from sore eye again. This time I was infected from the stupid guard at MNG that day in Mid Valley. I had eye contact with that stupid guard for less than three seconds and the next thing I know is, my left eye is red and sore. Sigh, so unlucky and the worse thing is I forgot to bring my eye drops.

Candid Shot - I was forcing Cynthia to give me her food

Langkawi Trip

Hey hey hey, I am back!

I had a short getaway in Langkawi Island, the duty-free island during last weekends. The vacation was just okay, nothing much. The only thing that spoils the whole trip was the hotel room that I stayed, it is the worst hotel I ever stayed in my life, more like a motel than a 3-stars hotel! In order to make myself asleep at night, I need to intoxicate myself every night before I go to bed.

Reaching Langkawi

Kinda lazy to blog about it but by request from MeiWan, I'm gonna post up some photos and summary of the trip, I will tell you the whole story when you're back okay?

Day 1 - Underwater World, Cable Car, Shop for Liquor and Chocolate, Chime Sheraton Hotel

Went to visit penguins since the Underwater World is just 5 minutes drive from my superb lousy hotel - Asenia Hotel Langkawi. Of course there are other marine life such as fur seal, seahorse, sea dragon, and etc.

Can You See The Penguins?

Stop by at the "Pearl Harbour" of Langkawi for lunch before heading to the Oriental Village. Took cable car up to the hill, 700m above sea level and the view from top of the hill was breathtaking.

My sister looks as if she is drunk

Met Sebastian after came down from Oriental Village and he brought us to buy cheap liquor and chocolate. We are aware that they are cheaper than in KL but we didn't expect it to be that cheap, you get what I mean? My sister and I were like some kind of "Jacun" when we saw the prices on the liquor, "OMG, 1.70RM per can of beer! Cheaper than soft drinks in KL!", "Chivas or JD?" and "I want to bring a canon of Chivas home!", and the worker in the shop standing behind us was smirking at us when we said that.

After dinner we went back to hotel to bath and then we head to the most happening night spot in Langkawi - Chime Sheraton Hotel. Quite a cool place to chill and drink, it has live band every night but too bad the band on that night wasn't good according to Sebastian and they sang slow songs like Bryan Adam's, Whitney Houston's and ABBA, yeah ABBA for God's sake! Played pool with my sister and at the same time teaching my little brother to play. I love the toilet especially, my reaction when I first entered the toilet was "WHOA!" with a big-O on my mouth.

I was here!

Day 2 - Snokerlling, Four Seasons Resort

It was my first time snokerlling! I got terrified at first when I saw so many fishes swimming in the sea, you know I am very afraid of animals. But my sister and brother insisted that I should go down with them since we had already paid so much for the trip.

First attempt, soaked my legs inside the sea and there come all the fishes, feeling very "geli" and I screamed and ran up to the platform when there is a fish sucked my leg. My sister and brother do not let me go easily, keep convincing me that the fishes will swim away when they see me.

Second attempt, when I finally get myself into the sea, I swam very fast without looking at anything and reached the coast when my brother and sister were still in the middle of the sea, looking at fishes and coral happily.

Third attempt was much better, taking my time to swim across the coral and observing fishes. Hands rest aside me, trying to avoid fishes that swim in front of me. I didn't dare to touch anything inside the sea, not even the coral. By the way, I thought I heard the sound of fishes flapping their fins but my siblings said they didn't, anyone has the same experience as me?

Didn't have much pictures of the snokerlling trip because I didn't bring my camera along, just have a few photos from my sister's camera phone. I should have bring my camera along and snap photos of my little brother when he was floating on the sea, so funny, like a big fat pig floating on the water with his anxious look.

Langkawi Coral

Look at the floating pig on my left! *LMAO*

Nothing to do at night, so we went to visit Four Seasons Resort after dinner, the most luxury hotel in the island. The cheapest rate is 1830RM per night, but the place was really really spectacular! It was so huge and we almost got lost in the hotel. It will be like a day in paradise if I could spend one whole day in the hotel and enjoy the facilities.

Day 3 - Cenang Beach

Bumming around at the beach for awhile, not in the mood as the beach wasn't beautiful, but the beach at Tanjung Rhu was great! Then we went for brunch at Kuah Town. Did some last minute shopping then drove to airport, flight at 1250.

Bon voyage Langkawi!

p/s: I am very tired and I have to go to bed now. Will post up more photos next time and also photos of marine life, so stay tune!
