Yellow Ribbon Week

Me* with the yellow ribbon

It is Cancer Awareness Week a.k.a. Yellow Ribbon Week and I would like to share some medical information with you since my doctor asked me to spread the news to everyone I cared. I had completed my Gardasil vaccination program today.

What is Gardasil?
Gardasil is a type of vaccine and it is the only vaccine that may help guard against diseases that are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) Types 6, 11, 16, and 18. HPV Types 16 and 18 cause 70% of cervical cancer cases and HPV Types 6 and 11 cause 90% of genitals warts cases. It is suitable for girls and young women ages 9 to 26 years old.

The vaccination program contains 3 injections of Gardasil over the period of 6 months. It would be better for you to have the injection in early age and before you have active sexual activity.

Check out more about Gardasil in its official website or consult your doctor or pay a visit to the National Cancer Society of Malaysia. I had mine from the National Cancer Society of Malaysia and the nurse told me that the current price for a dose is 400RM, which is the cheapest in Malaysia for the moment, you can expect 500RM per dosage in clinic.

Besides Cervical Cancer, the second most common cancer for women in Malaysia and also the world, please beware of other cancer especially breast cancer, the number one killer to women.

Men, don't be too happy because you are prone to breast cancer too and other different type of cancers such as penile cancer, esophagus, lung, stomach, liver and other parts of your body.

Smokers, beware that you are in very risky position because smoking increase the risk of cancer by fourfold, so stop using tobacco.

Here are the 7 steps of cancer prevention from CNN library:
1. Don't use tobacco
2. Eat variety of healthy foods
3. Stay active and maintain a healthy weight
4. Protect yourself from the sun
5. Get immunized
6. Avoid risky behaviour
7. Get screened

Eat more white cabbage, broccoli, beans, carrots, cooked tomatoes and others and drink tea, especially green tea. In 1994, the Journal of the National Cancer Institute published the results of an epidemiological study indicating that drinking green tea reduced the risk of esophagus cancer in Chinese men and women by nearly sixty percent.

I guess that's all for today, it is my pleasure to share this with you and I am very happy because I have had did something good, a good accomplishment *smile*.

Just showing some cares and loves to this cold world and remember that prevention is always better than cure! Start loving yourself! *huggies*

Girls' Thoughts

Came across this bulletin post in Friendster just now, I think it really speaks out girls' mind, at least it tells some of my thoughts.

When she didn't call you...
It is because she is waiting for you to call

When she walks away from you madly...
Follow her

When she stares at your mouth...
Kiss her

When she pushes you or hits you...
Grab her hands and don't let go

When she starts cussing at you...
Kiss her and tell her you love her OR a kiss may shut her up

When she is quiet...
Ask her what's wrong or what is in her mind

When she ignores you...
Give her your attention

When she pulls away...
Pull her back

When you see her at my worst...
Tell her she is beautiful

When you see her starts crying...
Hold her and tell her everything will be alright
(I personally think that he should wipe off my tears and gimme a hug =P)

When you see her walking in front of you...
Sneak up and hug her waist from behind

When she is scared...
Protect her
(I think it should be give her a hug)

When she lays her head on your shoulder...
Tilt her head up and kiss her
(Kiss on her hair will do)

When she teases you...
Tease her back and make her laugh

When she doesn't answer for a long time...
Reassure her that everything is okay
(Wait for her answer)

When she looks at you with doubt...
Back yourself up
(Give her a hug and reassure her)

When she says "I like you"...
She really does, and more than you could understand

When she grabs your hands...
Hold hers and play with her fingers

When she bumps into you...
Bump into her back and make her laugh

When she tells you a secret...
Keep it safe and untold

When she looks into your eyes...
Don't look away until she does

When she misses you...
She is hurting inside
(For my case, I will call him up just to say Hi and listen to his voice)

When you break her heart...
The pain never really go away

When she says it's over...
She still wants you to be hers

What do you girls think?

What Do All These Mean

If a guy...

remembered every single little thing about you,

remembered how you guys known each other,

remembered the place where you first met,

remembered what did you guys have for first dinner,

remembered it was the n-th time when you guys having supper at that stall,

remembered where did he run to you after you guys had lost contact,

remembered your cell number in his head,

his cell is clean of other girls' photo,

you are the only girl that ever appeared in his Friendster displayed photo,

hugged you to sleep,

tried so hard not to snore because he knows that you couldn't stand the noise,

apologize every time he made you weep,

takes all the blames from you.

Now, would you tell me what do all these imply?
I ain't no small girl anymore, I know I should stop dreaming and wake up from my fantasy, but he always giving me hope and belief that he cares about me, I am someone special to him. Are they all lies and I am just lying to myself?

Sky Bar

It is a pub located at the rooftop of Traders Hotel, with great ambience and perfect night view of KL City,

The KLCC towers were just behind us

The Swimming Pool at the side

Our drinks(clockwise): Singapore Sling, Manhattan, Deluxe Margarita and Kiwi-la

Him*

This is my favourite photo of the night!
I got this when I was adjusting the mode of my camera

Me* and Ann

Me* and Him*

Ann and Him*

Me* and Him* again =)

Him* and Ann at the hotel lobby

but the place is very stuffy, without any fans and it has very strong smell of chlorine. Not spacious, smaller than Luna Bar and with only limited selection of cocktails and drinks.

I discovered that he has acrophobia when we were at Sky Bar because he went to sit at the pool side after awhile when he was sitting next to me at the window side. He closed his eyes when he came next to me to take photo, LOL. It makes sense that why he didn't want to ride in the flying man thingy in Genting with me and giving me excuse that we just had our dinner. I wonder what is he going to do if I brought him to Eye On Malaysia, riding the Ferris Wheel. Well, we didn't go there because it was too late after our dinner so we just went to Sky Bar.

He doesn't like Martini, just like me! Ann ordered a Martini named Manhattan, we laughed at him when our drinks came because it looks so lady and it tastes so awful. Ann then ordered a new drink, Kiwi-la, it doesn't taste like a cocktail to me, rather it tastes more like fruit juice. Despite the age gap between us, Ann is a 34 years old married man with three daughters. He is a hilarious guy, I mean man, he always make us laugh with all his stupid jokes.

Phew... finally I have had done my assignment, another essay with 3000 words! I can finally relax myself until final exam because I have done all the assignments and mid-term for this semester. I had Financial Management mid-term test on Friday and it wasn't so difficult, I think I can get at least half of the questions correct, hopefully. *fingers cross*

To reward myself, I went to Jacky Cheung concert with my sister on Friday night. I have been wanting to go all the while and I finally decided to go when my neighbour offered me the two tickets that she had bought but she couldn't make it because she had just gave birth to a baby girl. I should thank her for offering the tickets because the concert was superb awesome!

I guess all the Chinese knows Jacky Cheung, or at least they have come across of his songs. I started to listen to his song when I was a kid. I remembered he was famous since I was in primary school, if I am not mistaken, I was only Year 2. The media in Hong Kong gave him a nick - God of Singing. You would understand why they named him as a "God" if you have had been to his concert, seen his performance in live. He isn't good looking but he has his own charm, he is so passionate and most importantly, very good voice. It feels like in heaven when watching him perform on stage and singing, the stage is well-decorated and with the lights, sounds and effects, thumbs up!

The Stage and the Crowd

He could make people move when listening to his rock songs meanwhile his sentimental and classical love songs could touch everyone's heart. His songs are my all time favourite! The concert lasted for 3 hours plus and it was full house! He is such a friendly artist, he jokes a lot and tried to communicate with the audiences unlike some snobbish artists. To sum up, the concert is worth more than what I had paid for, consumer surplus, I am delighted! Hehe, make use of some economic terms.

Oh my God, this is what I have been dreamt to own!

It is in front of me and I screamed when my sister's boyfriend shown it to me! He just got back from Shenzhen, China. You probably guessed what will be my next reaction...

Made in China iPod

What the... it is an imitation! The earphone is not white in colour and it has a big iPod word on it. Nevertheless, the capacity is 8GB and it only costs 60RM, cheap huh? I was doing research on foreign direct investment in China recently and it was the title of my 3000 words essay and here come the product of China. I don't mean that China's products aren't good but I just dislike them and I never buy any imitations, I support genuine goods!

Exhausted

I once heard that, when you are too tired, you won't be able to fall asleep. This is so true!

I am so tired but I couldn't fall asleep, I went to classes everyday in this one whole week, Monday to Sunday. Gosh, I am so hardworking! LOL, kidding. Actually I only went to a make up class for like an hour today and I skipped Thursday tutorial class because I wanted to finish my AFW2401 assignment. Since I am so busy this week, even went to class on Sunday, which mean I abandoned my assignment and studies today, feeling so bad now.

Let me start with the make up class, it was sucks, big time! The people in the beauty center are terrible. What I learned from there, no, I didn't learn anything from there because what they taught me is what I already known. Applying foundation, eye liner, rouge, and lipstick are like the basic knowledge for girls. The only thing I learned perhaps is how to trim my eyebrow with razor blaze, I never use blaze is because I am afraid that one day I will cut myself or accidentally shave part of my eyebrow instead of trimming it and most of the time I will just let the beautician trims it for me during my facial session.

After the class and my late lunch, Emily wanted to go to Cat Whisker boutique so we went there and I thought of buying some new clothes since he is coming. I ended up coming out with empty hand because, the top I like doesn't look nice on me, it was too loose for me but it looks good on Emily, so she bought it. Then, I thought of getting a dress, I looked good in it and I was happily asked the sales assistance to take a new one for me. Waited for so long and she came back with a disappointing news, no new stock! Holy shit, I hate buying displayed stuff because so many people tried on it, touched it and God knows what else they did to the dress and the sewing on the displayed dress is not nice. Since I can't get any outfits, I thought of getting a belt instead, but I think God wants me to save up, the belt doesn't have new stock too and the displayed one was defected, again! I came out from the shop with disappointment and I keep telling Emily that I dislike her because she bought the top I like while I can't get anything. Thinking that maybe I shall go to the Bangsar's outlet to get the dress, hehe.

I saw a necklace quite nice in the boutique and it matched the dress so well. I didn't buy it because I have so many accessories, I think I should stop buying accessory but I couldn't stop myself from looking at them! The first thing I looked at when I went into the boutique was earrings, I am so hooked up with earrings!

Mommy called me and asked me to go to MATTA Fair with her, she wanted to buy holidays package to Langkawi. It wasn't as excited as last time when I went to buy Bali's package. Maybe because I ain't so looking forward to go to Langkawi. But I found some inspirations, idea of where to bring him when he is in KL!

Eye On Malaysia!
I know it was so last season and I should have been there like months ago after I have been saying so many times that I wanted to go there. This time, I am going there for real! If only he wants to go. If not I will go with my Mommy!

Bought a spa package in Palace of The Golden Horses, a six-stars rated hotel which a lot of stars and celebrities stayed there when they came to Malaysia. I heard Michael Jackson, S.H.E., F4, and others were there. Yeah, I am pampering myself again! I am more excited about this trip than the Langkawi trip even though the hotel was like 10 minutes drive from my house. I am going to stay in the hotel for one night and enjoy the facilities, I heard that it has a man-made beach in the hotel. I think it gonna be fun!

Thought of calling him and ask him whether has he booked for hotel so that I can help him to get some cheap hotels in Genting and KL, but I stopped myself from doing so on second thought. Of course he already booked, I am just worry for nothing. Just wish that I can go to the Eye On Malaysia with him, riding in the Ferris wheel together, like the song sang by Eason Chen - The Ferris Wheel of Happiness, awww that's so dreamy! Maybe I should go to sleep now and start dreaming of him. Nitez!

p/s: I hoped I can sleep tight, if only I can get ECW3291 assignment and AFW2631 mid-term test out of my mind for 8 hours!

All suffering soon to end!

Is this possible?
Someone just came by to send this message to me, it must be some religious message from gospel, if you are interested, message me and I will pass you the leaflet. I remember I read from newspaper that the world is going to end in about 50 years according to Albert Einstein, when I am 70 plus, as if I can live so long. Whatever it is, I didn't take it seriously because I think that live each day the fullest is the best thing to do! Even if I am going to die tomorrow, I will make sure that I have a great day today.

Just came back from class, it is Saturday for God's sake! I just hate it but for exam's sake, I went! Mid term is just around the corner and I have another assignment suppose to be due on next Friday, luckily the deadline extended to next next Monday, yuuhoo~!

Next next Monday, 17th September, important day! It is the day he is coming to KL! *grin nervously*
I haven't plan where to bring him, what we going to do yet! I need suggestions! Oh wait, maybe he doesn't need my company because he is coming with his friends. Anyway, I just wish to see him again, I haven't seen him for 8 months, damn bloody 8 months long! I didn't know how did I survive but I managed to, alive and still kicking. It is just so hard to live apart, but at least we are under the same sky!

Maybe I should stop stalking on him, so that I will not find out shits of him! Feeling a little uneasy because so many girls approached him recently. I know they are nothing but friends, or maybe not even friends but I just couldn't stop myself from thinking about it. I keep convincing myself that he doesn't like them because he has good taste, he won't like them! I knew there will be a lot of girls hitting on him, how can girls not liking him? He is so irresistibly sweet, cute, and blah blah blah, maybe you don't agree with me but this is what I think of him, I even think that he is the most handsome guy in the world! I just can't help but feel a little unhappy when I think of them drooling over him, I so wanted to tell the world that,

HE IS MINE!!

Oops... not exactly, I mean no, he doesn't belong to me, it was just my imagination!

Kiasu-ism

I hate being compared with anyone, but what I hate the most is, being copied-cat by someone else. It is really annoying!

I just don't understand why people like to be someone else, why can't they be themselves?
Will they be happier if they imitate me?

I ain't trying to boost about myself but it is a fact that there are people trying to imitate me from as early as I can remember, primary school time until now. They just won't let me go, they love to compare with me, like I am benchmark to them, don't they have a better role model in life except me?

One of my ex-schoolmates, not really close to her. She recently commented me and what her comment about is her trip to Bali, not about me. The purpose of posting up my photos is not to show-off but being requested by MeiWan. There is this one photo that I shown what I have brought home from Bali and guess what, she went to post a photo like that also today, she been there before me and it was like months ago, she didn't post it until she saw mine, as if she is trying to compete with me, does it necessary? The funny thing is, she puts it as primary photo and her caption is almost same as mine! What a copy-cat! She was like so scare that nobody knows that she been to Bali, saying how much she misses Bali, she didn't buy as much as I did and shit, sigh, why are people nowadays so kiasu?

You know, I would really appreciate if you could just leave me alone, stop comparing with me! She is not the only one but there are a few of them. Another one, she could make up stories to her friends every time she saw me when I didn't even bother to talk to her. She very concerns about me according to some of my friends, she just won't stop asking stuffs about me. I never bother to be friend with them is because they are just so fake, a bunch of fakers with no life but trying to be cool.

When I am doing better than them, they would talk shits behind my back and start to say that I am showy, snobbish and all sort of craps. I just want to be myself and not being a faker like them, smile and talk to them as if we are very good friends. Don't try to get into my way because I don't welcome you. By the way, if you think I am a B-I-T-C-H, yes I am and I can be a real bitch to you if you mess with me, so stay away from me and go and get a life!
